For your consideration are a pair of GUCCI Porcellana keepsake plates with an ornate chair motif design. This particular collection came out some time in the 1980's. These decorative dessert plates were part of a set that included matching espresso cups & saucers. The plates feature a two-tone navy blue on blue background, and are embellished with a maroon/burgundy and dark canary yellow border that match the patterns used on the chair designs. The plates feature the 'GUCCI' name at the bottom of the border trim, and also have gold leaf around the perimeter of the rim. The diameter of the plates are 8.25".
*PLEASE NOTE*: There are various chips to the paint on the edges of the plates that show up as white specks/spots as noted in the photos. *The plate with the striped seat pattern has chips mostly on the right side (1 o'clock - 7 o'clock), as well as 5 paint chips on the face of the plate. However, the plates themselves are structurally sound, and not cracked. They really are unique and quite beautiful.
These plates are are great addition to anyone who collects Gucci merchandise, or anyone who already has this GUCCI Porcellana collection but may be missing these pieces.
